With spring firmly in our sights, now is the time to head to the salon en masse, requesting to take our winter tones a little lighter in preparation the warm weather. If this is you, prepare to meet your unlikely new summer hair muse – Harper Beckham. The 5-year old was snapped by her doting mother, Victoria, while she painting pictures in the sunshine and sporting some on-point ombre and mermaid texture. Just ashy enough with a texture that no amount of tonging skills could ever really capture, Harper’s untouched hair is our new obsession. Colourists have already coined the term ‘babylights’ to reference their technique of scattering a client’s hair in micro highlights to mimic the look of naturally sun-kissed strands, like you had as a child. Still, there’s nothing quite like the real thing is there? Here’s hoping hairdressers won’t pass too much judgement this season when we all scramble to their chairs carting a picture of a pre-schooler as a point of reference.
