“One phone call and you’re done.” “I have eyes and ears everywhere.” “I’m Harvey Weinstein, you know what I can do.” Those were the chilling threats made to several women who were sexually assaulted by now-disgraced film mogul Harvey Weinstein. The 66-year-old is expected to surrender to investigators in Manhattan, New York City tomorrow on sexual assault charges.

According to The New York Times, Weinstein will be arrested after months-long investigations into the more than 70 women who accused him of sexual harassment, assault and/or rape.

It is unclear at this point the nature of the charges being brought against Weinstein but it is understood he will be charged over an allegation involving former aspiring actress, Lucia Evans. She claims Weinstein forced her into giving him oral sex during a business meeting at Miramax office in TriBeCa, NYC, in 2004. The Times is also alleging Weinstein will be charged with rape of an unidentified woman. Initial reports suggested the victim was actress Paz de la Huerta and related to an event that happened in her home in 2010.

The publications explosive outing of Weinstein’s behaviour in October 2017 sparked the global #MeToo movement – and thus an avalanche of accusation against him. Finally, it’s Time’s Up for this monster. We’ll bring you more direct from New York in the morning as it happens.
