Over the weekend, Hilary Duff married her longtime partner Matthew Koma in an intimate backyard ceremony surrounded by the couple’s friends and family.
On Sunday evening, Duff shared the first glimpse of her wedding day with her followers – a photo of herself and Koma posing in front of a Jeep Grand Wagoneer with ‘Just Married’ written on the rear window. She captioned the image simply, “This.”
The portrait is the first look at Duff’s wedding dress, a custom-made gown by British designer Jenny Packham, which Duff later revealed to have been shipped from London to Los Angeles.
The dress, which is ivory, is made in crepe and features a high neckline, a fitted body, fishtail skirt and cape-like sleeves, as well as a cut-out at the back and accentuated shoulders.
Duff later shared a video of one of her final fittings, revealing her simple Jimmy Choo heels and the headpiece she wore with her short hair lightly curled and back off her face. “I feel really comfortable and I feel like it’s everything I ever dreamed of. It has structure, but it’s clean and simple,” she said while wearing the design.
“I knew that I wanted something modern and something – I don’t want to say ‘simple’, it’s not simple, but it’s very clean,” she explained, before revealing Jenny Packham also made her one-year-old daughter, Banks, a dress to match.
On Instagram Stories, Duff shared her second look of the evening: a sparkly gold two-piece which she wore in photobooth photos with Koma. The couple also shared a mirror selfie holding up their wedding rings.
As well as Banks, the couple has a seven-year-old son, Luca Cruz, whoDuff shares with her ex-husband Mike Comrie.
