As announcement scenarios go, this was a pretty impressive one: Coachella party, giant TV screen, the live phone call from a supermodel and every cool celebrity in California in the vicinity.

And all to reveal Moschino, helmed by popular fashion wild-child Jeremy Scott, is the latest designer brand to band with high street giant H&M for a capsule collection dropping November 2018.

Gigi Hadid, a close friend of the label and its creative director since 2013, staged an Instagram Live call at the Moschino party held during Coachella’s opening weekend. (Note, she can’t have been far from the party itself when she made the call, given she’d been spotted at the music festival wearing crocheted hotpants and combat boots earlier that afternoon.)

“I am so excited about MOSCHINO [tv] H&M,” Scott has announced. “My life’s work has been to connect with people through fashion, and with this collaboration, I’ll be able to reach more of my fans than I’ve ever had the ability to do.”

While no further details around the collection have been released, it’s not hard to guess (given his previous ready-to-wear collections) that bright neons, kitschy cartoon motifs and possibly the occasional supermodel (a Hadid tryptic please!) will appear in and around the range of men’s and womenswear.
