It may as well have been the Golden Globes. Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, Julia Roberts and Kate Hudson were all in attendance at Gwyneth Paltrow’s surprise engagement party to Brad Falchuk.
The party was held by Glee creator Ryan Murphy at The Los Angeles Theatre overnight, an “old school and very glamorous Hollywood event”, a source told PEOPLE. “Instead, lots of candles and fragrant flowers created a romantic atmosphere. It felt intimate and very special. You could tell that all guests very much love the couple.”
A beaming Paltrow posted a thank you note to her Instagram. “Thank you [Ryan Murphy] for the most incredible evening to celebrate our ❤,” Paltrow, 45, captioned the shot. “There will never be adequate words to express our gratitude. Thank you to all of our amazing true and dear friends who came to support us. We feel like the luckiest people on the planet because we have all of you in our lives. And most of all thank you @bradfalchuk for the true happiness.”
