What’s the most fun job you’ve ever done? I voice a couple of Disney channel cartoons, which is the most fun. I work on a show called The Lion Guard and I get to turn up in pyjamas and pretend to be a little Australian hyena. It definitely doesn’t feel like a job.
What’s the most terrifying job you’ve ever done? My first day on The Fosters we were shooting a scene where I’m getting beaten up in juvie [juvenile jail]. We were in this abandoned jail that was definitely haunted and these girls really went in. Physically I’m pretty flimsy so I was like “What have I signed up for here?”.
What’s your biggest extravagance? Wine. I signed up for a membership at a vineyard in Napa [California] after a long wine tasting and I have so many cases of wine sent to my house. My spare bedroom is now the wine room.

WHAT RELATED TO YOURSELF WOULD YOU LOVE TO DELETE FROM THE INTERNET? Red carpet pictures. They are always awkward.
WHAT’S YOUR BEST SELFIE TIP? Ask someone else to take the picture.
WHO’S YOUR TYPE AND WHY? Anyone who doesn’t take themselves seriously.
BEST PICK UP LINE YOU’VE EVER HEARD? I was at a bar in Los Angeles recently and someone pulled up a post from the Instagram account Overheard in LA and proceeded to quote it to me as a pick up line. Best but also worst.
What’s top of your fashion wish-list for spring? The Saint Laurent Betty Shield sunglasses. They are definitely too big for my little face but they’re so dope.
What’s your best long-haul travel hack? I’m the worst packer but I do know that rolling your clothes is a great way to squeeze all the clothes you probably won’t wear into your suitcase.
Which shoe style best sums you up? Sneakers. You can dress them up or down and you’re never at risk of being too dressed up.
CAN YOU TELL US SOMETHING YOU COULDN’T LIVE WITHOUT? Caffeine
Who is your favourite person and why? My little brother. He’s 14 and already a lot cooler than me.
What’s your biggest regret? When I first started working in the US I was constantly anxious about whether I was acting as a ‘good role model’ and how articulate or eloquent I was coming across in interviews, social media, whatever. I’m completely past that now, but I wish I hadn’t let it affect me so much, especially during an exciting time for me. Although, dealing with that has definitely helped me to let go of things I don’t really have control over and made me more solid in myself.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE PIECE IN THE NEW BONDS COLLECTION you’re fronting? The Homegrown Crew Tee. I tend to stick wearing a high neck line and the fit is perfect.
What’s the biggest misconception about you? Most people assume that because I did a Disney musical I want to become a singer or some kind of pop star. That couldn’t be less true.
CAN YOU TELL US SOMETHING THAT WOULD SURPRISE US ABOUT YOU? I have intense stage fright.
CAN YOU REMEMBER THE LAST TIME YOU LOST YOUR TEMPER? It was on a set. I saw someone being pretty disrespectful to another crew member and I had to take a moment. I could have gone off.
WHAT’S YOUR DREAM HANDBAG RIGHT NOW? I don’t really wear handbags, but there’s a black leather Chanel backpack that I’ve been wanting to buy.
What would you be doing now if you weren’t an actor? I’d probably be finishing film school and figuring it out.
What’s been your biggest life lesson so far? To always trust my instincts.
