Who’s your best friend? I have two best friends Josephine and Rose. One is from Amsterdam and one is from Sydney and I still talk to them all the time.

Can you tell us something that would surprise us about you? Umm, my parents met in Brisbane, but I have a very multiracial family [thanks to] my their previous marriages. My brother and sister are half Indonesian and half Australian, and my other sister is half Greek, half African-American. The sister that’s Greek-African-American and I look quite alike because we look like our father. It’s so crazy, but it’s good to have lots of cultures.

What’s the most fun job you’ve ever done? The Lovable campaign was definitely the most fun I’ve ever had. [The job is] different every day and you meet amazing, talented people, so it’s always interesting and you never know what you’re going to rock up to at a set. Or what you’re wearing. Or what the theme is. It’s definitely a different routine to what I was used to in retail, which is what I was doing beforehand.

What’s the scariest modelling job you’ve ever done? When I did Albus Lumen [at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia] last year. It was my first show just standing in a presentation. I didn’t know where to look, my legs were shaking and I was trying to look so calm. They told us to stay still but they didn’t tell us where to look with our eyes, so I was trying to look in one spot and someone would look at me and then I’m like ‘oh no’, so I would look at another spot. I was really nervous but it turned out fine.

What’s your biggest extravagance? Probably just shopping in general. I like shopping by myself you can stay however long you want in one shop. That would be my little treat and then I feel guilty when I get home. Or online shopping.

What’s your type? As in men? I don’t really have a type, really [but] someone who’s really confident in themselves and also dresses in his own style. It doesn’t even need to be over the top, just some sort of simple dress that shows his personality. Looks-wise, I don’t really have a type but my boyfriend’s Italian, so I like Italian boys.

WHAT’S YOUR USUAL EXERCISE REGIME? I run for 30 minutes every day, just for myself and my endorphins – you never regret going for a run. Then I just do a couple of core exercises. I signed up for Pilates but haven’t gone, but I do a lot exercise of at home even just on my phone. I have a lot of apps, even just to feel like I’ve done something when I’m at home.

Who do you miss the most when you’re travelling? My mum and my dad.

What’s your best travel tip? Make sure you’re not more focused on taking photos than actually experiencing where you are. Sometimes you do get caught up with Snapchat but you’re not really experiencing things. Put the phone down and experience it.

What’s the best pick up line you’ve ever heard? It was something ridiculous like, “Are you from booty land, because your booty’s something else…”

What’s your biggest regret? It would have to be not starting [modelling] sooner, but I’m happy that I started when I started. I could’ve done it sooner [even if I’d wanted to].

What’s your best tip for taking a good selfie? Good lighting, but make sure the lights not too strong. I’m not the best with selfies. Just don’t stare at it too long or you’ll end up deleting it.

Best advice for aspiring models? To believe in yourself and to never compare yourself. You can idolise other models but never compare yourself to they’re doing or where they’re working. It’s you and no one else is like you, so just be really confident in yourself.

When’s the last time you lost your temper? When my Uber driver yesterday took me around in a circle and then dropped me back at my house.

WHO OWES YOU AN APOLOGY? Taxi drivers – actual taxi drivers not Uber drivers. Ubers are usually good, except that one I had yesterday.

WHAT COULD YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT? Internet. I have to feel connected.

What would you be doing now if you weren’t a model? I’d probably still be working in retail; I guess something with clothes.

What’s been your biggest life lesson so far? To respect yourself as much as possible and know your worth and know what you deserve in life. When you’re dealing with crap ex-boyfriends you have to teach yourself, in general too.
