Second to her ever-growing list of acting credentials and unerring insistence on appearing relatable, Jennifer Lawrence is perhaps best known for her sharp tongue.

Unlike many of her peers, Lawrence’s apparent laidback approach seems to defend her against Hollywood’s obsession with women staying young, which doesn’t appear to shake Oscar winner.

Speaking to the Telegraph UK while promoting her latest film X-Men Apocalypse, the actress seems as unfiltered on the topic of ageing and beauty as she is on tactical spews.

“I can’t change my gender and I can’t stop crows’ feet so I’m just going to move on and decay like everyone else. If you are worried about wanting to look younger when you’re not, you’re not going to be a very happy person. You just have to find other things to make you happy that are much more important.”

She also spoke about her famously non-existent social media presence, because; “that’s more exposure – that’s just more me. I want less me. I want people to have less me.”

With two films set to release later this year, including the highly anticipated sci-fi thriller Passengers alongside Chris Pratt, plus another nine in development after that, it doesn’t seem like we’ll be seeing any less of Jennifer Lawrence anytime soon.
