Jennifer Lopez will perform at the Super Bowl half-time show next year – if there is any justice in this world.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the Get Right singer is one of the top contenders to the NFL wants for the gig on February 2, 2020 in Miami, Florida.

“Jennifer and the NFL have been in talks for a while, but there are many factors that go into the deal before it’s official,” a source said.

“Jennifer has been saying for a while she wants to perform at the halftime show and it looks like her dream may come true.”

The insider added, “Jennifer has had an incredible career that spans over decades and this platform would give her the biggest stage ever to showcase it. Jennifer has already worked with the NFL this year promoting the season, so things are looking good.”

The Super Bowl, the grand final of the NFL season, is typically watched by at least 100 million people around the world. Past performers have included Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Coldplay, Beyoncé and Bruno Mars.

Last year’s performance by Maroon 5 was widely panned as underwhelming, and perhaps not coincidentally, the 2019 game had the lowest Super Bowl ratings in a decade.

How to fix lackluster ratings? Three letters: J-Lo.

If the Super Bowl gig does come through, 2020 is already looking huge for Lopez: she’s set to marry Alex Rodriguez in a destination wedding.
