A self-confessed “love addict”, Jennifer Lopez has been married three times (and let’s not forget her almost-marriage to Ben Affleck).
But it seems JLo has finally found her long-term love in Alex Rodriguez, telling the world at the MTV Video Music Awards this year he was her “twin soul”.
In a new interview, the 49-year-old opened up on why she and the ex-pro athlete are so good together – because of the growth she experienced after the failed relationships.
“When we met, we’d both already done a lot of work on ourselves,” the Waiting For Tonight singer said.
“Everybody has flaws, and the people I want in my life are the people who recognise that and are willing to work on those flaws,” she explained.
“It’s super-important: someone who’s willing to look at themselves and say, ‘OK, I’m not great here’ or ‘I could do better there.'”
