NEW YORK CITY: Jennifer Lopez’s schedule never stops. Fresh off the back of a world tour, an engagement party and promotion for her newly-released film Hustlers, the 50-year-old was spotted filming scenes from her new romantic comedy, Marry Me, with Owen Wilson on Friday night in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
Swapping her Hustlers’ platform heels for a more subdued black boot, Lopez stars as Kat Valdes, a pop star who finds her rock star fiancé cheating on her seconds before they’re set to walk down the aisle at Madison Square Garden. According to IMDB, she instead marries a random guy from the audience. From this picture, we’re presuming Kat’s new husband is Charlie Gilbert (Wilson).
The pair were seen strolling the closed-down streets of Red Hook, a happening little part of Brooklyn in New York. It seemed a battle of the elements for celebrities this weekend. Just as Camila Cabello and her opaque stockings will tell you, its super chilly at night on the East Coast at the moment and Lopez was seen adorably wearing grey tracksuit pants over her shorts to stay warm in between scenes.
GRAZIA exclusively spoke to Lopez’s Hustlers co-star and Riverdale actress Lili Reinhart about what it was like working with JLo on set. “She’s wonderful. She’s like a mama bear,” explains Reinhart. “I got that vibe from her, even during my first day on set when we were filming a scene where we’re all in a jail cell together and Jennifer is just incredibly kind and very much like a mama bear. She held my hand in the scene and was treating me like I was a really close friend or a daughter that she cared about and that was really sweet. She’s very much a strong, badass woman who is really very motherly.”
Marry Me is due in cinemas early 2020.
