Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have ended their very public and very ugly divorce battle, reaching a settlement on Tuesday, TMZ reports.

It was agreed Amber will receive almost AUD $10 million, the decision coming a day before her legal team was set to present more evidence to back up her domestic abuse claims against The Pirates Of The Caribbean star.

The actress dismissed the domestic abuse claims, and the ex-couple released a statement:

“Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm. Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity.”

Amber filed for divorce from her husband of less than two years in May, and a string of ugly allegations of abuse at the hands of Depp emerged, which he has denied. These included that he smashed a phone into her face and pulled her hair. As a result, she was granted a restraining order against him.

The couple first met on the set of The Rum Diaries and married on Depp’s private island in the Bahamas in February last year.
