Film producer and comedian Judd Apatow has perfectly summed up our feelings about the sexual harassment scandal that has shocked Hollywood and the world in recent months.

Appearing on Late Night With Seth Myers overnight, the talent behind Trainwreck, Bridesmaids and Super Bad expressed his horror at the revelations that have come out about Harvey Weinstein and many other high-profile men.

“Everybody should be disgusted. It’s horrible,” Apatow, who’s married to actress Leslie Mann, said.

He also took aim at men who say they’re disturbed by the allegations “as a father”.

“As a father of two daughters it concerns me, but you shouldn’t have to have daughters to get that it’s disgusting,” the comedian argued.

“You should be able to say as the owner of a bird, I’m disgusted.”

Injecting his signature sense of humour into the conversation, the 50-year-old pointed out just how simple it is for men to not sexually harass women.

“It’s so easy to not be a sexual harasser,” he said. “You just literally do nothing. You do nothing.”

Couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

Yesterday Salma Hayek revealed her disturbing encounters with disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein in a personal essay for the New York Times.
