Just as her character Vivian did in the 1990 film Pretty Woman, Julia Roberts at 51-years-old is still the kind you’d like to meet. The iconic actress and her effortless blonde curls were spotted in a floor-grazing Valentino gown as she promoted her new Amazon show Homecoming in New York’s SoHo today. If you needed any more convincing, here is undoubtedly the Instagram of the week courtesy of Roberts’ stylist Elizabeth Stewart.
The mother of three will also star in Ben Is Back, a film doing the promotional rounds now in the United States and one tipped to earn Roberts another Oscar. The film’s plot plays out over a 24-hour period and tells the tale of a desperate mother who will do anything to keep her drug-addicted son (played by rising superstar Lucas Hedges) safe. In preparation for the role, Roberts invited Hedges into her own family before they played mother and son.
“Just to be able to develop a relationship and have some life experience together with Lucas before we started shooting and he was at our house a lot… he was there for Thanksgiving, he came to soccer games, went to the beach with the kids, and did things so that we were part of each other’s lives before we started to pretend to be the most important people in each other’s lives,” she told Extra.
Roberts will speak exclusively to GRAZIA ahead of Ben Is Back’s January 31 release In Australia.
