Warner Bros. and DC Comics released the next trailer for the upcoming Justice League film and as Diana Prince holds most of the airtime, it’s obvious filmmakers know her worth. Breaking box office records since the release of Wonder Woman in June, Gal Gadot who plays the Amazonian princess, features heavily in the trailer while Ben Affleck’s Batman seeps into the background – a possible reflection of his poor film reviews.
The trailer – which was revealed at Comic-Con across the weekend – opens as the world mourns the death of Superman and with Batman reportedly a “no show”, crime is set to overrun the city and the world. Bruce Wayne though has been working together with Diana to recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this new threat. Enter: Cyborg, The Flash and another notable (and welcome) heavily featured superhero in Jason Momoa’s Aquaman. After the success of WW, can lightning strike twice for the DC Universe? Also, did Superman really die? November 16 is the date for Australian audiences.
