It’s all speculation at this point – there’s even a rumour Justin Theroux found a stash of post-its/love notes Brad Pitt had given Jennifer Aniston doing the rounds– but the following looks to be the most feasible reason given for Aniston’s marriage breakdown. It’s been widely speculated the couple ended their seven year relationship due to differing lifestyles, Aniston wanted to live in Los Angeles, Theroux in New York.
As the tabloid news cycle begins today in the U.S., we have another set of information from sources coming through shedding some light into what really happened to the couple we thought would be together forever. According to People, the couple blamed long separations and living and working on different coasts as the problem. “During his relationship with Jen, Justin’s life in N.Y.C. was always very different from his L.A. life”, a source close to the actress said. “In N.Y.C., he acted more like a single guy. He went out with his single friends and sometimes would have very little contact with Jen for days. [Justin] loves being out and about. He wanted their lives to be more spontaneous and simple, but that’s not possible with Jen.”
The publication says Theroux found it difficult fitting into Aniston’s insular LA life whereas she didn’t like the prying paparazzi in NYC.
The pair released a joint statement last week. “In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation,” the former couple said. “This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.”
