After Calvin Harris was seen socialising with Kim Kardashian, and then he and Kanye West both received MTV Video Music Awards nominations, buzz began to spread across the music industry that Taylor Swift’s two enemies might collaborate.
With the DJ’s uber-fresh beats and Yeezy’s knack for a catchy rap, the two musical powerhouses could certainly produce a number-one hit together. But despite the rumours – a source told E News! that Harris “wants to make some music with Kanye down the road” – we’re unlikely to get it any time soon.
TMZ claims to have spoken to people in both artists’ camps, and apparently there’s a couple of reasons why the pair have no plans to work together at this stage. Firstly, the two have no prior friendship or any kind of working relationship. “They rarely speak at all – they’re just not buds.”

The second reason is the main one, though. Apparently Calvin, real name Adam Wiles, is trying to shake off (put not intended) his association with Taylor.
“He wants to kill the narrative of being connected to Taylor,” as TMZ reports.
But now that the idea has been floated Kanye and Calvin will no doubt consider the possibility of collaborating, and for the sake of our ears, we hope they do.
