Kanye West’s infamous Twitter rants have covered diverse ground, from his thoughts on the Grammys to how much he hates “big ass striped scarves”.

Now Kanye has decided to use his love of communicating in 140 characters or less to support Frank Ocean, who dropped two new albums to much fanfare last week. In typical Yeezy style, he took to Twitter to make impassioned, completely unrealistic demands of the community at large.

“If anyone at radio really loves music … Come together and pick your favorite Frank Ocean song and play it at least 10 times a day,” he wrote on Wednesday.

“Every station across the globe.  I Heart. Clear Channel local stations. Satellite. Every station.  This will make the world better.”

He then decided to use a good old-fashioned name drop to sell his point – one of the names he dropped being his own, because Kanye.

“Me and Drake both listen to Frank.  Radio has to support amazing artists.”

He then decided to get deep.

“Ask yourself Why did you love music in the first place and what can you do to add to the story.

“Power to the people. Power to the artist. Empower the artist and create a more inspired world.”

In a shocking turn of events, we’re actually inclined to agree with Kanye on this occasion – Frank’s new music is damn good and deserves to played widely (although maybe not 10 times a day on the one station – there is such a thing as overkill).

As for the big-ass chunky striped scarves, we’re going to respectfully agree to disagree.
