When Calvin Harris made a scathing clarification on Twitter about who really wrote his track This Is What You Came For, he also managed to bring Taylor Swift’s reported-and-now-confirmed-nemesis Katy Perry into his argument.

In a series of tweets, the producer admits that Swift did help him with the lyrics of his single but most notably, he asked his ex-girlfriend to focus on her new relationship instead of attempting to drag him down. “I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship, you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do,” Harris posted.

“I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I wont allow it.”

Perry, who has kept classily quiet about her years-long rift with Swift, albeit a fragrance title, used a Hillary Clinton GIF to shrug off the drama.

Perry then continued with a tweet to imply the truth will indeed come out in time.

In 2014, Swift told Rolling Stone that a certain female popstar tried to sabotage her entire arena tour, effectively beginning the feud between the pair. “For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” Swift said. “She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life? She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”
