Ever wish you’d taken the time to learn a second or even third language? (If you’re fluent in more than that, we bow down. Please, carry on.) Well, this delightful fashion film clip starring Keira Knightley wearing some very chic designer jewellery will leave you wishing you’d paid more attention to your middle school French tutor.

While the actress seems to have dropped out of the media spotlight of late – possibly due to the fact she’s enjoying the blissful personal joys of new motherhood – her latest movie proves the two-time Oscar nominee is as radiant and multi-talented as ever.

“She had rings on every finger…

“Lots of bracelets around her wrists…

“And she sang with a voice which immediately beguiled me.”

So reads the translated subtitles of Knightley’s sweet rendition of Le Tourbillon. Since it was written in 1962, the poetic folk song has been reworked by several famous French singers including Jeanne Moreau and Vanessa Paradis. It’s a dream partner to Chanel’s Coco Crush fine jewellery collection, which also stars in the clip and features as many rings and bracelets as the song’s Liberace-like heroine.

Knightley strums (or at least appears to) a guitar in a floodlit studio, her fingers glittering with rings from the gold and diamond collection, which also includes bracelets and earrings all designed to reflect the quilting on Chanel’s famous 2.55 bags.

The 32-year-old is a long-time friend of the Chanel brand (she even wore a Chanel ready-to-wear dress for her 2013 wedding). Watching her in this film – which features English translation of the beautifully poetic lyrics in subtitles – it’s easy to see whey the French Maison is as enamored with the actress as we are with Coco Crush.
