Kendall Jenner is believed to have fired her security guard following the theft of jewellery worth more than AUD $250,000 from her home this week.

TMZ reports that although Kendall was having a party at her house on the night the valuables – said to include a Rolex and Cartier watch – were removed from her jewellery box, an “uninvited guest” gained access to the property, leaving her no choice but to “let go” of the security guard on duty.

The family made the same decision following Kim Kardashian’s robbery in Paris, firing her long-time bodyguard Pascal Duvier.

As reported earlier this week, Kendall called police to her Los Angeles home at 1am Thursday local time after noticing jewellery missing from her bedroom. It was immediately clear to the authorities the heist was an inside job, as no signs of forced entry were found, and Jenner was hosting a group of friends at her home at the time.

The website says the 21-year-old left her home at midnight and, it was when she returned at 1am that she noticed the missing jewellery, said to be worth more than AUD $250,000. Police seemed convinced “the thief knew exactly where Kendall kept her bling”.

The Daily Mail reports that Kendall was seen at Hollywood’s famous Chateau Marmont hotel on Friday, indicating she may have opted to stay there as the investigation continues.

The Kardashian-Jenners had already significantly upped their security following Kim’s traumatic gun point robbery in Paris in October, but it appears they may need to continue to tighten it after this latest incident.
