We did wonder how Kevin Spacey’s co-stars and directors in the films that are still in production would fair since the sexual assault allegations against the actor came to light on October 30. How did the cast of Gore feel when Netflix said it will no longer stream their film? What are Billie Lourd, Ansel Elgort, Suki Waterhouse, Emma Roberts and Taron Egerton thinking about the future of their film with Spacey, Billionaire Boys Club? And would anybody go and see Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams in Ridley Scott’s crime thriller All The Money In The World due for release in December 2017?

Following Netflix’s decision to officially sever ties with Spacey, in stunning news today, it is being reported Scott (along with Imperative Entertainment’s Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas) has decided to re-shoot Spacey’s scenes in the latter film. The disgraced actor was playing oil tycoon J Paul Getty in the movie, which was not only is in post-production but was completed. Now, Deadline are reporting the cast have put up “a united front” and Christopher Plummer (who was originally tipped to play Getty but film producers decided to go for a higher profile name in Spacey) will re-shoot Spacey’s scenes. Wahlberg and Williams were part of this decision so we guess that answers our earlier question.

“The sordid allegations against Spacey might doom a film that Scott dropped everything to direct, and on which so many people worked hard and did not deserve to see the results hobbled in the marketplace because of the taint of scandal,” the publication reports.

Reshooting scenes will commence immediately. It’s expensive, it’s bold but one things for certain: Kevin Spacey is done in Hollywood. And this trailer, at the 1.58 mark, will look very different, very soon.
