Kim Kardashian publicly supported Hillary Clinton in the 2016 US election, and has protested some of Donald Trump’s policies, such as separating children from their parents at the US-Mexico border.

But she seems to have changed her perspective on the US president after meeting him to successfully campaign for the release of Alice Marie Johnson from prison.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live overnight, Kim scaled back her formerly critical tone of Trump to be more in line with her Trump supporting husband Kanye West.

“I have nothing bad to say about the president,” Kim, who has hinted at a future presidential run of her own, said.

“I’m very grateful and hopeful that more good things are going to come out of our conversations … He has done something amazing, so I’m very focused. But I don’t agree with everything, either.”

Of her successful conversations with President Trump that led to Johnson, a first-time, non-violent drug offender being released after serving 22 years of her life sentence, Kardashian said:

“I knew that there was only one person in power that can make this change and get this woman out of prison…so, I went for it.

“The first thing I said in our meeting is, ‘Holy s**t! We’re in the f**king Oval Office!’ “That was the first thing I said. I had to take a moment to be like, ‘Wait, we’re really here.'”

In a hilarious detail, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star revealed she was naked when President Trump called to say he had commuted Johnson’s sentence.

“I was at a Steven Klein photo shoot—and if anyone knows who he is, it’s pretty much a nude shoot. So, I’m naked and my phone rings and I’m all glammed up. I’m like, ‘Get me a robe!’

“And then I had to call Alice from the shoot. Nude,” she clarified.

Kim confirmed recent reports she had visited a women’s prison in the US, and told Kimmel many more people have since reached out to her for help.

“I get a stack of letters every day that I read when I’m in glam [hair and make-up].”

You’ve come a long way, baby.
