Stark naked and completely slathered in glitter – Kim Kardashian West sure knows how to get our attention. Strategically holding her breasts and bare-bottomed (of course), the recent beauty mogul has taken to Instagram to tease us with all new product from her KKW Beauty Line: Ultralight Beams Highlighters and Glosses.
Always the exhibitionist and a perennial nudist, Kardashian West wears nothing but glitter and said products; her cheeks and eyes gleam with the new highlighter pigment and those extra plump lips are lacquered in the new high-shine gloss. Ultralight Beams (obviously a nod to Kanye West’s song), is a shimmer powder in five shades, including a pearly white, yellow sand, soft peach, burnt toffee and light rust, with matching glosses that are both sparkly and sticky. For the girl who typically favours a matte nude lip, the trek into sparkly beauty territory is an interesting one, but the pull of the glitter-loaded ’90s as a key beauty trend was obviously too strong for Kimmy.
Beauty Queen, Huda Kattan, was one of the only people in the world privy to the new products and was left “speechless”. She does however note they do “feel a little dry to the touch,” so suggests applying a primer to the skin before smearing the incandescent flecks all over your face.
The shimmering gloss and loose highlights prove the glitter train isn’t slowing, rather, gaining pace, and just in time for the festive season when it is totally acceptable to go gung-ho on the glitter.
Anything Kardashian West touches turns to gold, and in this case, it’s quite literally (beauty) gold. Dropping December 1 online, set your alarms if you want to be part of Kim’s sparkle party.
