Kris Jenner walked a thin line when answering questions about her controversial son-in-law Kanye West on The Ellen Show.

Ever the diplomat, Jenner was careful to show some support for Kim Kardashian’s husband while making clear she doesn’t approve of everything he does.

When host DeGeneres asked about West’s bizarre White House meeting with Donald Trump, the Momager replied:

“It was very spontaneous. And the stuff that they were talking about, when they got to the airplane, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s so Kanye.’ He was sharing thoughts and things of himself. But I would rather he share some of that stuff privately. Obviously, that would be great.”

But she was careful to serve up that opinion with plenty of positivity.

“Kanye is an amazing son-in-law,” Jenner said. “He’s an amazing dad, husband, friend and brother-in-law.”

“My job as a mum is just to be there for my kids and be supportive and love them.

“You can’t control what somebody else is doing. I can’t always control what any of them do at any time. But I think what I really want to do is be there to help him be the best version of himself that he can be. He knows that we’re there if he needs us.

“You’re always concerned when there’s controversy and drama and things are going on, and it’s sometimes worrisome,” she admitted.

“When you have six kids and extended family and nine grandchildren, there’s a lot going on,” she says. “I just want to be there, be supportive and be there if he needs me. That’s really where my heart is.”

Bravo, Kris Jenner. Bravo.
