There’s only so much dragging one person can take before you have to fight back. When Demi Moore’s tell-all memoir Inside Out was released yesterday, including all the sordid details of her relationship with ex-husband Ashton Kutcher, Kutcher finally snapped. 

The actor had been very quiet about the drip-feed of revelations from the book over the past couple of weeks, including reports that he had cheated on Moore twice and that she had miscarried their baby. 

But yesterday, Kutcher broke his silence. 

“I was about to push the button on a really snarky tweet. Then I saw my son, daughter, and wife and I deleted it,” he wrote. So, still a kinda snarky tweet. 

Was that a veiled swipe at Moore, who has not held back with any explicit details in her book, for the better or worse of her three daughters?

“Life is good – Larry Kutcher,” he added, a comment attributed to his father, and then he posted his phone number, saying, “For truth, text me.”

Look, it’s hard to know who and what to believe at the best of times. It seems that Kutcher did indeed cheat on Moore, and probably twice, but there are two sides to every story and who knows what might have led the couple to that point.

The latest details from the book are pretty damning for Kutcher, however, with Moore talking about how he shamed her alcoholism, taking photos of her when she was drunk, including that infamous butt pic he posted on Twitter. 

Mila Kunis, Kutcher’s wife, stepped out on Tuesday with new blonde and turquoise locks, but kept a low profile, shading her face with a baseball cap. 

Moore’s daughters and ex-husband Bruce Willis supported her at the launch of her book in LA on Tuesday, hosted by Moore’s close friend Gwyneth Paltrow.

And Kutcher isn’t the only one to dispute details of the book. Moore claimed she took the virginity of actor Jon Cryer, with whom she starred in 1984’s No Small Affair, but Cryer denies it. 

“Well, the good thing about this is she doesn’t have to feel bad about it anymore, because while I’m sure she was totally justified making that assumption based on my skill level (and the stunned look on my face at the time), I had actually lost my virginity in high school,” Cryer wrote on Twitter. 

Unlike Kutcher, Cryer feels no bitterness towards Moore.  “But she’s right the other part, I was over the moon for her during a very troubled time in her life. I have nothing but affection for her and not a regret in the world” he wrote.
