Matte may have been the lip of choice in 2016, but this year we’re seeing a return to gloss in a big way – with March witnessing a multitude of brands rolling out their take on the trend.

There’s Bobbi Brown’s Art Stick Liquid Lip, an art supply-inspired modern take on the liquid lipstick with a super-pigmented, semi-matte finish; Chanel’s Rouge Coco Gloss, a new high-shine gloss featuring 20 iridescent lacquered shades; and then there’s news shades for Napoleon Perdis’ Luminous Lip Veils – delivering sheen that catches the light at every turn.

There’s also no going past Dior’s Addict Lacquer Stick. With the brand holding a party like no other to help launch its range of 19 intense lip colours, the lacquer sticks feature liquified shine with weightless wear. And that’s just four of the recent launches you need to get your lips on.

Below, we take a look at the March launches that will have you retiring your matte lipsticks forever…
