If you weren’t already planning to watch this year’s Oscars, may we suggest you reconsider – because Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga are set to perform together.

The Academy confirmed on Twitter overnight the A Star Is Born co-stars will sing their hit from the film, Shallow at the ceremony, which is being held in Los Angeles on February 24 (AM February 25 AEST).

It’s a rare chance to see the pair sing the song live together, although they did give a surprise rendition when Cooper joined Gaga on stage at her Las Vegas residency, Enigma, last month.

The duet is nominated in the Best Original Song category, and it’s a strong contender. Shallow won Best Original Song at both the Golden Globes and the Critics Choice Awards this month (Gaga also took home Best Actress at the latter.)

Cooper and Gaga are both nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress at the Academy Awards. The film itself is also nominated for Best Picture.

Tell me something, girl …
