Gaga replied:

“U are really strong standing up to him, she’s not as strong as u yet.

“Do you want me to see if I can talk to her?” Gaga added. “I know she’s mean.”

Addressing the comments after they came to light this week, the Born This Way singer attempted to clear the air.

“[Katy and] I have grown up in the industry together,” she tweeted.

“We’ve gone through both celebrations & differences [with] each other. These are old texts. “We’ve matured, gotten over the past, love each other & share deep respect,” she continued. “Katy is my friend and is truly a kind soul. End of story.”

Katy, accepting the explanation and reciprocating the good vibes, tweeted in reply:

“Love you too friend. Onward and upward.”
