Lady Gaga has worn her heart on her sleeve this awards season, often becoming emotional as she’s collected a slew of accolades for her powerful performance in A Star Is Born.

But what do you do when wearing your heart on your sleeve doesn’t feel like enough?

You get an enormous back tattoo.

Gaga unveiled the new ink on Instagram, a rose the length of her spine with the words ‘la vie en rose’ around it, a pivotal song she sings in A Star Is Born.

It’s a dramatic, imposing work, revealing just how profound the experience playing Ally opposite Bradley Cooper in the film has been for Gaga.

She also got a smaller ink, some musical notes on her inner forearm. But, in a moment reminiscent of Ariana Grande’s recent tattoo saga, it was pointed out to Gaga on Instagram the staff should have five lines, not four.

She had it quickly fixed by her tattoo artist, blaming the error on too many tequilas (Gaga, not the tattoo artist, we hope).
