Liam Payne and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini (formerly Cole) may have joined the ranks of celebrity couples that pulled off a secret wedding.
One Direction-er Liam may have let news of their top-secret nuptials slip when he called Cheryl his “wife” during an interview on SiriusXM this week.
Joking about his obsession with a US fast food chain, he said:
“I left my wife and child at home and I was straight out to In-N-Out Burger.”
The hosts didn’t press Liam on the “wife” comment, so it’s still not clear if the pair have wed in secret, or he simply used the term “wife” because he doesn’t feel “girlfriend” is the appropriate term for the mother of his child.

Liam, 23 and Cheryl, 33, welcomed son Bear in March.
The pair are believed to have started dating in December 2015 when Cheryl divorced her husband, Frenchman Jean-Bernard after 19 months of marriage.
The two first met in 2010 when Liam was just 17-years-old and a contestant on the UK’s X Factor television show, on which Cheryl was a judge.
