Forget about Call Me By Your Name. Lucy Boynton has just reinvented the peach at New York Fashion Week with dreamy, creamy peach lids.

Less carnal, more fashion, Bonyton’s makeup artist, the incomparable Jo Baker, has given the actress perfect peach eyes at Rodarte’s Fall 19 Show.

Against Boynton’s signature spider lash, Baker washed a soft peach across the entire lid, all the way up to the brow bone, buffing it below the eye, also. Referencing the 80s but diluting it down a little, the peach wash was a muted take on the screaming colour of the decade, playing on pigment but keeping it soft. The true drama came via shape as oppose to colour, with a chunk of peach fanning outwards like a wing.

But it was made all the more powerful thanks to a game of contrast. Lucy Boynton’s classic spider lash was as chunky and clumpy as ever; the bold black proving even more mighty against a delicate pastel, with her porcelain skin adding another layer of contrast. It’s also a foolproof way to wear orange on the eyes; offset the sometimes sallow tones by defining the eyes with strong strokes of black – either with eyeliner or mascara.

As for Baker and Boynton, they are fast becoming the ones to watch. After compounding the return of the spider lash, playing with wild negative space and stamping bold blocks of colour, the duo are a beauty force to be reckoned with. While we wait for their next move, we’re biting into this. The ultimate ”shimmery easy breezy peach feels.”
