Margaret Qualley cemented her It girl status at the premiere of Seberg at the Venice Film Festival on Friday, with plenty of buzz around the up-and-coming actress’ performance.

After walking the red carpet with co-stars including Kristen Stewart and Anthony Mackie, Qualley also earned some extra attention due to her date: Pete Davidson.

Following rumours the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actress, 24, was dating the Saturday Night Live comedian, 26, the two were pictured together for the first time. Seated in the next row directly behind Qualley was Davidson, staring adoringly as she got a standing ovation from the packed theatre.

Qualley and the comedian are understood to be in the early days of their relationship.

“They’ve been seeing each other for a couple of months and Margaret is really excited about him,” an insider told Us Weekly recently.

Seberg is a political thriller about French actress Jean Seberg starring Kristen Stewart.

It’ll be the Saturday Night Live funnyman’s third high-profile coupling in less than a year; after ending his engagement to Ariana Grande in October 2018, he then began dating Kate Beckinsale in January 2019, before splitting four months later.

Qualley, meanwhile, is the daughter of actress Andie MacDowell. She looks set for a big few years following her acclaimed performance in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, in which she plays Pussycat, a mysterious hitchhiking Manson family cult member. She also got the public’s attention as Jill Garvey in HBO’s The Leftovers.
