Twenty-six-year-old Australian actress Margot Robbie has been featured in Time’s prestigious 100 Most Influential People listicle for 2017. Among good company such as Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds, the actress has been honoured by her Wolf Of Wall Street director Martin Scorsese who has described her as portraying “the comedic genius of Carole Lombard” and the “grounded, hardscrabble toughness” of Joan Crawford.

The famed director then references Robbie’s first audition for the role of disgraced stockbroker Jordan Belfort’s wife – played by Leonardo DiCaprio. As we now know it was a performance that thrust the ex-Neighbours star into the Hollywood stratosphere where she would stay for many years. “Margot has all this in addition to a unique audacity that surprises and challenges and just burns like a brand into every character she plays,” Scorsese continues to write for TIME. “She clinched her part in The Wolf of Wall Street during our first meeting—by hauling off and giving Leonardo DiCaprio a thunderclap of a slap on the face, an improvisation that stunned us all.”

To wrap, Scorsese says “Margot is stunning in all she is and all she does, and she will astonish forever.” It doesn’t get much better than that, does it?
