French actress Marion Cotillard has confirmed via Instagram she was not involved in the breakdown of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s 12 year relationship. On September 20 2016 headlines speculated Pitt was having an affair with his co-star, 40-year-old Cotillard, as they filmed Allied together in 13 locations from Spain to France. Despite reports of electric chemistry, Cotillard has hit back calling nonsense on the rumours and putting to rest Jolie hired a private eye to spy on the couple.
“This is going to be my first and only reaction to the whirlwind news that broke 24 hours ago and that I was swept up into,” she posted. “I am not used to commenting on things like this nor taking them seriously but as this situation is spiralling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up.”
