Time at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia is not measured in seconds, minutes and hours as we know it. Instead, days are measured in slightly more esoteric quantifiers: bottles of gratis mineral water consumed; the ratio of finger sandwiches declined to those consumed in a single bite; the number of gift bags taken compared to those left behind to be pilfered of their contents, the vital hair spray cans and precious fragrance samples.

Time at Fashion Week is also perhaps best measured in the intervals between white noise and silences broken by some truly inane observations, quips and comments offered up unwittingly.
