Romance Was Born’s Resort 2018 collection ‘Electro Orchid’ was made for the disco. From the Donna Summer soundtrack to the sublime cast of Bad Girls decked out in technicolor ensembles shot through with rainbow hardware, sequins, lace, marabou feathers, PVC stockings and gloves, theirs was a collection made for the dance floor.
Where better to test out that thesis than at the label’s official after party at QT Sydney’s Gilt Lounge, a one-night-only celebration of the week that was with support from Etihad Airways.
Amidst fringed curtains of hot pink metallic foil and ample orchids, guests enjoyed a signature mango daiquiri with a surprising twist of rosemary, as well as Handpicked Wines, Heineken beers and Perrier Jouet champagne (in between the hedonistic truffle mac and cheese arancini and all-you-can eat oysters).
