Day Three of MBFWA saw a lot of sleepy heads and a lot of Vittoria Coffee (in super cute designer keep-cups). But there was also a lot of glorious fashion. Hansen and Gretel invaded chic interiors boutique Jardan in Paddington for a kitschy celebration of sirens and the sea for their ‘Venus’ collection. Alice McCall amped things up with a rainbow of tulle, feather and lace, We Are Kindred threw a beautiful bohemian party, while over at Totti’s in Bondi, famished media relished the salumi + Spritz situation for Bondi Born, as beautifully refined swimwear in rust, navy and chocolate ducked and weaved between fresh tomatoes and fettuccini. The evening saw Anna Quan’s quaint presentation play out between sculptor Carol Crawford’s bulbous wares, while Christopher Esber assumed a stylish bolthole in Paddington for his deconstructed feast of delicious fashion. The night concluded with Michael Lo Sordo’s backless and very sheer soirée in the CBD.
Here, team GRAZIA share their wish list from Day Three of MBFWA.
Aileen Marr, Fashion Director
christopher Esber’s coloured knit
“I loved the Esber knit; same silhouette but the use of horizontal colours was knew for him. And his Khaki Cargo Dress with cut-outs – loved!”
Jessica Bailey, Editorial Director
Anna Quan’s puffy Two-Piece
“I just love an Anna Quan puffy sleeve, OK?”
Chrisanthi Kaliviotis, Beauty Editor
Christopher Esber everything, but particularly the black blazer with diamanté cut-outs
“Forever an Esber tragic, I loved the entire collection (as always) but was particularly smitten by this incredibly intricate black blazer. A power shoulder, perfectly cinched waist and shimmering diamanté cut-outs which danced in knots and were nothing short of brilliant. The sparkle was also a complete side-step from the typically minimalist designer, which I loved.”
Patrick Zaczkiewicz, Stylist
Hansen & Gretel knit polo + white trouser
“I love a knit polo and this minty zig-zag is so fresh, especially with these cute drawstring trousers.”
