If I ever meet Meghan Markle, I just know deep down in my soul I’ll be so nervous I’ll say something awkward and weird, and it’ll keep me up at night for years afterwards.

Which is what happened to an apparently well-meaning woman who met the Duchess of Sussex when she visited Mayhew, an animal welfare charity in London overnight.

As video circulated on social media reveals, the woman called Meghan “a fat lady” – apparently making reference to her baby bump, but somehow coming out all wrong.

Or, the woman’s just got a ballsy sense of humour. Like, “Are you pregnant or did you just have a big lunch? HAHAHA.”

Or maybe it was a dare.

Meghan’s improv training from her acting days no doubt helped her to smooth over the potentially awkward situation.

“I’ll take it!” she laughed to the woman before greeting the next person.

For the outing, Meghan accentuated her bump in a very affordable H&M maternity dress which is, as you might have guessed, already sold out online.
