The pregnant Duchess Of Sussex’s schedule has been reduced after a hectic start. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have over 70 engagements in Australia and the South Pacific during a 16-day Royal trip, their first as a couple. As we know, at night time, there is minimal downtime for the newest member of the Royal family. Before Markle and Prince Harry’s trip to Dubbo last week, Markle was up baking banana bread to greet a local family.
The former actress, who is around 12 weeks pregnant, skipped the cycling competition in Sydney at the weekend which was a part of the Invictus Games. Prince Harry was in attendance. She later joined her husband for a sailing event on Sydney harbour and a lunchtime reception hosted by Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
Kensington Palace released a statement regarding Markle’s reduced hours. “After a busy program, the duke and duchess have decided to cut back the duchess’s schedule slightly for the next couple of days, ahead of the final week-and-a-half of the tour,” the palace said in a statement.
The Royal couple are scheduled to head to Fraser Island today – a commitment we’re unsure if Markle will take part is – before heading to Fiji tomorrow.
