Michelle Obama is here to save us all, after the announcement that the former First Lady of the United States will release a memoir this year.

Titled Becoming, Obama’s book is set for release November 13, making it the perfect inspirational beach read for summer 2018/2019.

“Writing Becoming has been a deeply personal experience,” Michelle wrote on Instagram, accompanying a photo of what appears to be the book’s cover.

“It has allowed me, for the very first time, the space to honestly reflect on the unexpected trajectory of my life.

“In this book, I talk about my roots and how a little girl from the South Side of Chicago found her voice and developed the strength to use it to empower others. I hope my journey inspires readers to find the courage to become whoever they aspire to be. I can’t wait to share my story.”

Last year it was reported the Obamas signed a joint book deal with Penguin Random House, said to be worth an astonishing US $65 million. The former US president is yet to announce any details regarding his own memoir, which will be his third book.

The announcement of Becoming has put it straight to the top of the list of the most anticipated memoirs for 2018. It’s in good company with Rose McGowan’s Brave, which came out on January 30, and Look Alive Out There, the anticipated new collection of essays from funny non-fictionist Sloane Crosley (April 6).
