With glamour in its DNA, Milan Fashion Week is known for serving up winning beauty looks laced with signature elegance and an undeniably Italian bombshell-appeal. The Italians shifted gears slightly for the Autumn/Winter 2016-17 season though, where some of the most memorable beauty moments were also the most delightfully low maintenance.

Backstage at Ports1961, Blumarine and Aquilano Rimondi we were privy to some seriously stealth hair styling tricks that could cut getting-ready time in half when used IRL.

THE LOOK: 3-minute beach texture

The move: Divide your hair into chunky plaits. Run a straightener across each plait and elave to cool. Release, scrunch and spray through with sea salt spray.

The look: 5-minute waves

The move: Divide hair into five sections. Split each section into two and twist around to create a rope, securing at the bottom. Dry off on a medium heat, massaging each rope softly to create texture, and then leave to cool. Release and spritz with hairspray.

The look: 7-minute fashion ponytail

The move: Prep the tail of a low pony with a texturising mousse. As you twist the tail into a long rope, run a hairdryer up and down until it sets into shape. Secure the bottom and rough up with your fingers.
