In case you missed it, beloved celebrity couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth got married at their Nashville home just before Christmas.
Images from the intimate ceremony have had fans (read: us) fawning over the details, from Miley’s Vivienne Westwood dress to her elated dancing at the reception.
Miley and Liam fell in love a decade ago starring opposite each other in romance-drama The Last Song, and it seems the couple’s nuptials have gotten a lot of people in a nostalgic mood.
According to figures released by Amazon Prime, there’s been a 2000% spike in streams since the news broke of their marriage this week.
In an interview with Seventeen in 2009, Miley confessed she wasn’t exactly a fan of Liam when they first met.
“I heard a rumor that he didn’t really want the role, and so when he came in to audition for the role, I’m thinking ‘Here’s this guy, he’s amazingly good-looking, super-confident, and he doesn’t realise how blessed he is to be in this room, because I know how blessed I am. This is such a big opportunity for both of us’” she said.
“And I was thinking ‘Ugh, gross’, you know? Then I started talking with him, and he was just the most genuinely precious, sweet person. And the second audition comes around, and the chemistry was instant. From the time he walked in that door and we saw each other again, we [both] lit up, and we were excited to get work and learn together.”
Talk about a happy ending.
