“I love brooches — [they’re] an underestimated piece of jewellery,” says savvy second-generation jewellery designer Charlotte Lynggaard, whose own personal style is the epitome of edgy, uncontrived Scandinavian chic.

“I wear brooches on anything from a band T-shirt to an evening gown or a knit beanie,” says the designer, who creates pieces for the family-owned brand started by her father Ole in the 1960s and worn by our own Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark.

“I designed this brooch as a bohemian talisman to protect its wearer from malicious spirits,” she told GRAZIA. “The mesmerising evil eye, crafted from turquoise, tiger’s eye and onyx, beautifully contrasts with the South Sea pearl lustre and a delicate trail of diamonds on the stem.

“To me, it’s the epitome of bohemian luxury.”
