She stole the show at the Cannes film festival recently when Versace helped reveal her bold little baby bump confirming to the world she was pregnant with her second child.
But now, the perennially-perfect 28-year-old actress is set to steal the limelight again as her film The Shallows is released in the United States on June 29. Unfortunately, Australian audiences will have to wait until August 18 to see the taut thriller. Lively plays Nancy, a surfer who after the death of her mum, decides to explore an Australian secluded beach (which happens to be 200km off the New South Wales east coast).
While our initial impressions of the first trailer were underwhelming (and questioned if Lively could hold an entire film by herself given the minimalist cast), there is no question that anybody who grew up religiously watching Serena Van Der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf’s meddling ways will be more than interested in watching this film which could see box office numbers soar.
