Nicole Kidman did everyone a public service recently by reminding us she was once, indeed, married to non-underwear-wearing rockstar Lenny Kravitz. This little tid-bit of information slipped during an interview while on the publicity run for Big Little Lies where the 49-year-old actress said she Kravitz’s daughter, Zoë, prior to shooting the television show “because I was engaged to her father.”
Now, speaking to Net-a-Porter.com’s magazine The Edit, Zoë has us got us imagining exactly what that time may have been like (post-Cruise, pre-Urban for those playing at home). “I hadn’t seen [Kidman] in a long time before Big Little Lies, but there was a point where we were all kind of living together,” the now 19-year-old said. “I was about 13, and she would take me to see movies; she was so nice to me.”
“[Kidman] can be quiet and shy, which is interesting because the beast of an actress that she is, is so loud and clear. She’s so good that sometimes it was distracting. After every take I wanted to just stop and say, ‘Wow.’”
