NEW YORK CITY: Like all great parties, it’s the morning-after’s breakfast menu that breathes new life into a body. At Ralph Lauren, a Parisian brasserie serving up croissants at 888 Madison Ave was the follow-up to the American stalwart’s spectacular 50th anniversary show in Central Park in September. Gone was the dimly-lit brawny, whiskey-sipping setting that usually engulfs Ralph’s headquarters at 650 down the road. Instead, a well-to-do model gathering were delicately sipping on their tea in the foyer; a scene purposefully plucked from the Parisian Left Bank, or as the French say La Rive Gauche, and plonked 5827 kilometres away in Manhattan.

But before sitting Seine-side to watch Ralph Lauren’s Fall19 collection, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Candice Swanepoel, Bella Hadid and Taylor Hill said hello outside on the street, each giving a nod to Billy Joel’s Uptown Girl in her white bread world. And just like his birthday bash, there was a strict guest list for the gold-star café. Take a peek.
