Following on from Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 4 show earlier today, acclaimed designer and film director Tom Ford was looking to emulate that standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival recently when he showed his latest collection at the Four Seasons on 52nd in Manhattan as a part of New York Fashion Week.
Ford, who just returned from the Italian city where he premiered his new film Nocturnal Animals with Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal, delivered on his fashion word this afternoon, testing the new see-now-buy-now strategy, his collection immediately available online and in stores. He chose to showcase the liquid sequin and billowy printed collection via a short film with Lady Gaga and treated guests to a live performance by Leon Bridges. In attendance was Zayn Malik, whose girlfriend Gigi Hadid walked in the show with fellow models Lucky Blue Smith and Binx Wilson. Tom Hanks and his wife were also in attendance, simultaneously celebrating the release of his new film, Sully, in Australian cinemas today. But it was the guest models who stole the press lens; Karlie Kloss, Naomi Campbell, Iman Abdulmajid, and Cindy Crawford. Rita Ora, who has taken a classy style turn of late was also one to double take, take a look.
