Paramount House Hotel, the first accommodation offering from the team behind some of Sydney’s best venues, is poised to become the most highly-anticipated opening of 2018.

The fringe Surry Hills hotel concept from Russell Beard, Ping Jin Ng and Mark Dundon – the collective behind Reuben Hills, Seven Seeds and Bondi Hall, amongst others – will be the latest addition to the suburb’s thriving Paramount House complex, which already houses the team’s standout flagship Paramount Coffee Project as well as the art deco cineplex Golden Age Cinema & Bar and the perennially chic co-working collective, The Office Space.

The team has charged Melbourne’s Breathe Architecture with the design of the 29-room hotel, which will straddle the original Paramount House building and the adjoining Commonwealth Street property, formerly the film storage warehouse of the Australian headquarters of Paramount Picture Studios and, more recently, the site of every designer label looking for a sale outlet.

The existing PCP café will act as an extension of the hotel lobby, with guest rooms and the second dining concept from the team behind Chippendale’s lauded restaurant, Ester, joining next door. Each of the rooms promises discerning guests a unique configuration of heritage details with contemporary finishes in concrete, timber and terrazzo stone; ample plant life will accent terrace areas and generously sized bathrooms will be supplied with amenities by Aesop, naturally.

The hotel is currently in the process of recruiting for all positions across the property and is slated for an early 2018 opening date. You can find out more information here, or join us in waiting with bated breath.
