Festivities for the start of the new lunar year is reaching fever pitch right now. The beginning of the year of the pig has seen most major cities worldwide dedicate colourful, lantern-lit events to dragon parades, traditional Chinese musical performances and captivating carnival experiences.
Celebrating it in the most luxuriously fashionable way possible was Parlour X, in partnership with GRAZIA, last Thursday night. In a special one-off shopping night guests were treated to sunset drinks, a pop-up coffee and gelato bar and delectable canapés within the grounds and walls of Parlous X’s prestigious flagship store. Located in the historic St. Johns Church in Sydney’s Paddington, the store famous for housing exclusive pieces from some of the world’s most coveted fashion labels set the lunar new year scene with a spectacularly romantic cherry blossom installation in its front windows. The blooms, designed by Let Life Sparkle Events perfectly complemented gilt gold palm fronds by Jordan Isabella Fleming that decorated the entrance.
Once inside, visitors were treated to special lucky red envelopes that signified the new year, canapés by Petal Met Sugar and refreshments by Santa Vittoria and Moet Chandon. They were then able to peruse new collections from labels such as Celine, Balenciaga and Chloe while also entering a very special lucky door prize whose winner will be announced by Parlour X soon.
The sartorially sensational evening wrapped with a GRAZIA-supported gift bag that included skin and hair care products by Ultra Violette and Kevin Murphy Australia.
